On-line Application Process for an
IEEE McNaughton Learning Resource Centre Grant
sponsored by the IEEE Canadian Foundation

The IEEE Canadian Foundation awards grants to IEEE student branches in Canada to support the establishment or improvement of "IEEE McNaughton Learning Resource Centres" at Universities and Colleges.

Each application for a grant must be accompanied by three letters of support from:

  • the student branch counsellor
  • the chair of the department (where the branch has been established)
  • the dean of the faculty (containing the department)
You have two choices for submitting the letters of support; (a) you can ask the three individuals to use the on-line forms themselves, or (b) you can print the linked PDF versions of these forms, have them completed and signed, and send them as three attachments to an e-mail message to grants@ieeecanadianfoundation.org with a note that identifies you, your institution, the date you submitted your on-line application, and the e-mail address you used in that application to identify yourself.
The three PDF files are for: counsellor , dept chair , and dean.

The IEEE Canadian Foundation wishes to thank branch counsellors, department chairs, and faculty deans for their support of all the students in electrical, electronics, and computer engineering who become active in the IEEE as students in preparation for their professional life.
The IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is a technical and professional institute with about 350,000 members in approximately 150 countries. Students comprise about 50,000 of these members. The IEEE includes 35 or so technical speciality societies that includes computer, communications, and power engineering (the three largest) as well as electron devices, implications of technology, ....
The IEEE Canadian Foundation has supported the establishment of over 25 McNaughton Centres across Canada - more information is available on this web site.
